This Privacy Policy explains what information UdharGuide (“we”, “us”, the “Site”, udharguide.com) collects when you visit, why we collect it, and what choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
UdharGuide is an independent LPG information website operated from Ludhiana, Punjab, India. For any privacy question or request, write to prathamshetty720@gmail.com .

Information you give us
- Contact form and email: your name, email address and the content of your message. Used only to reply to you.
- Comments: the name, email and comment text you submit, plus your IP address and browser user agent, used for spam detection.
- Newsletter (if you subscribe): your email address.
We do not ask for and do not want your Aadhaar number, LPG consumer number, bank details, OTPs or any payment information. Please never send these to us.
Information collected automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and time of visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 4.
3. How we use it
- To operate, secure and improve the Site
- To reply to your messages and publish approved comments
- To understand which content is useful, through aggregated analytics
- To display advertising, which is how the Site is funded
- To comply with applicable law
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. UdharGuide uses:
- Essential cookies — needed for the Site to function and to remember your consent choices.

6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behaviour. Analytics data is processed by Google; IP addresses are handled per Google’s own controls. See Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. Visitors from the EEA and UK
If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, through a consent management platform that meets Google’s requirements. Our legal bases for processing are your consent (advertising and analytics), our legitimate interest (site security and improvement) and legal obligation where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link on the Site.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, and withdraw consent. To make a request, email prathamshetty720@gmail.com from the address concerned. We respond within a reasonable period.
9. Data retention
Contact form emails and comments are kept as long as needed to maintain a record of the conversation and the discussion thread. Server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes. Analytics data is retained per the retention period configured in Google Analytics.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and it will be deleted.
11. External links
The Site links to official oil company portals, government pages and other third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before sharing information with them.
12. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable technical measures to protect data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The revised version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
